What is MENGO Green Hunt?

www.mengo.org

MENGO is a network of 17 Environmental Civil Society groups
working on environmental protection and sustainability
development. We are organising a Green Hunt focusing
on the 3R’s and public transportation. This is a public
event where teams will be flagged off to use the monorail
Raja Chulan a walking distance from The Weld, Kuala Lumpur.

MENGO is a not for profit organization.

The Hunt will be held on 25 June 2011 in conjunction
with World Environment Day celebrations.  This hunt will
have a low impact on the environment and promotes a low
ecological footprint. This hunt is focused mainly on
sustainable transport with a zero waste production. All
materials that will be used for the hunt will be on recycled
materials, consumables with minimum packaging,
reducing use of plastics in order to minimize waste generation.

The hunt will consist of categories that utilize public
transport by foot, bus and rail (LRT and Monorail).
The participants to the Hunt will have a fulfilling
experience which stimulates them to care for Mother
Earth and the conservation of precious natural resources
that are fast depleting.
